There Is A Benefit To Applying What You Have Learnt

Time is never in any one's hands and scripture actually says we should redeem time (probably one of the only things that can be redeemed) but it is one of the resources if not managed well, it can affect almost every thing we do.

We need Wisdom, When applied we can enjoy the benefit of it thereof..

I have mentioned before that there is a cost for reaching late, that price pinches more than ever and it all comes down to poor time management. So with this said and since time can be redeemed, It is never too late to change course and follow your passion and apply what you have learnt.

“Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not.”

Psalm 90:12 "Teach us to number our days that we may apply hearts to wisdom"

Goal Setting Gives You A Bench Mark

(One of the Most Important principles in life) - Can be applied to financial Management.

Borrowing from scripture Paul said in Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the GOAL [MARK] to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

If you never have a goal in life, you will live aimlessly, the wind can take you anywhere without your permission. 

Goal setting is one of the most powerful tools any one can use to be successful in anything they put their hearts to do. It is something that is not usually taken seriously, I for one still suffers the fate of not fully adhering and pressing towards my goals, but each time I have focused and remained on course I have seen tremendous results, all you need is FOCUS, DETERMINATION and CONSISTENCY.

If you set out to read literature for 30 mins every day and you maintained that, you will acquire information and you will always remain relevant, In fact a study was done that one of the habits of wealthy men is to read something for 30 mins everyday.

When it comes to financial Management or SAVING, have you realized your goal, Did you set them in the first place, How much did you want to save and for what exactly, YOU MUST HAVE A GOAL, it helps you fulfill purpose and attain the VISION set before you, If you don't have a goal, you have nothing to press to.

Making an Extra Buck (Money)

As I write this, I guess this is one question that lingers so much in the minds of many people, How do I make Extra Money? I don't know if it is just a mindset issue or it's our upbringing that plays into the way we think, work and do many other things.

At least one thing am very sure of is that God has blessed all of us with a set of skills, either taught from school or colleagues, also self taught etc But some how there is something we can do with is. Some of them have been classified into hobbies or just something someone loves to do.

You could be the person who has loves photography and you do it as your hobby, if you were serious enough, that could be turned into an opportunity to make some extra income, you never know if it went to higher levels with deeper commitment and focus it could turn into a business. It could be cooking or baking cakes, decorating, book reviews etc.

You could be living in a very spacious place and have many rooms or outside squatters that can be rented for travelers or you could be having an extra car that is just sitting home but can be hired out probably for a wedding or travel etc.. Money is all around you, all you need is an idea to fish it out of someone's hand.

I must say, I keep thinking but more so looking at what is within my reach even my own brain and knowledge can be that valuable however a few months back, I decided I would use my I.T skills as a Freelancer first of all as a service to those who need it and as time went on, I realized I could do a little charge for some of the things I did so that my time, knowledge and expertise has some value attached to it. As of date I have recorded some tremendous records of the little monies I have got and I can gladly say it has been well saved and it's earning some interest on something, this will help me do some more projects I would love to do in the near future. But the truth is you can make some extra money. 

You don't have to think so hard, all you have to do is be smart, give good service and you will find that you will become dependable and even when you ask for a little more money it keeps growing and you are given it with confidence. What Skill do you have? and are you willing to first use it as a service to add value then you can put a charge a little later with time.

The scripture that would sum this up for me is:-

Proverbs 31:16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.

This becoming even more necessary and everyone who gets an opportunity should seek to learn [Learning never stops].

This morning I met 2 security guards around Wandegeya. I asked them why they do sports betting [Gambling] and they said, "You know us guards don't get much" and it can take us a while however we save part of the money we get from the bets.

However I told them that if they managed their finances well and put it into investments that can grow, then they can be able to build some wealth. I gave them an example of how I used to save coins and made about 500k at a certain point.

But they said that in the gambling they do, if they put 1000 ugx and got 40,000 ugx then that's not a bad deal and that they try to save it too but still I asked where they put the money or if they have surely gotten anything out of it. I told them that they have become addicted and it is not good for them, it is not the right way to make money because they need a quick money or get rich quick. I asked them what they would teach their children in regard to finances, because what they do now will most definitely affect also their children.

I gave them a few stories of mine and told them not to look at gambling like climbing a mango tree. Because one of them said that if you climb a mango tree and fall, you can go back, but i told them the mangoes come in a particular season too and that the tree is fixed in the compound, This just showed me there is a great need for continuous empowerment, some people even haven't heard or been taught how to manage finances however small they are. I encouraged them and told them it is possible to change their mindsets, live within their means, save and invest event though it means putting little a side, it can make a difference. I still remember in prayer they taught us "One by One makes a Bundle".

The culture of saving, investing I guess needs serious resurrection otherwise our economy will keep suffering if people are not enlightened.

The Scripture says in Proverbs 21:20 [KJV] There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. [NIV] "The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down."

Improving Financial Knowledge

One of the benchmarks of personal finance is the KNOWLEDGE YOU HAVE acquired all over the year in regards to finances. I once wrote and said if reading stops then learning stops.

I am fascinated by this story of Ben Carson [From the Book Gifted Hands]

".......Sonya Carson saw her two kids spending small time on homework, and so much time on the TV. In her head, she was scared; scared that the kids might end up having only a 3rd grade education. She turned off the TV, and from then on, the Carson kids were only allowed to watch 3 shows a week, and at the end of every week, Curtis and Ben were to bring to their mom a written book report on 2 different books of their choice. Mrs. Carson wanted her kids to improve their knowledge, instead of watching TV so much. Mrs. Carson later made them memorize the times table. This system went incredibly well for Ben. His grades started improving tremendously, and at school, people used to make fun of him for his poor grades. Now, all that stopped. Ben actually started to enjoy school. Ben‟s grades shot up, and now the same people who used to make fun of him were coming to him for help on homework...."

From the story Ben's Mother wanted her kids to IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, instead of watching TV and indeed it actually worked for Ben and he enjoyed school. This notion of life speaks to many of us and I strongly believe if we put a stop to certain things that take most of our time and lived out a balanced life, then we can begin to see change also in our finances [knowledge Acquisition] and many other things.

If through out the year, you have not even made any strides in acquiring knowledge for an evident problem, then I would encourage you to find a way of IMPROVING, make it you immediate financial goal.

Personally after reading the book "MAKE SENSE OF YOUR MONEY" byJames Abola and his friend, I have made great strides and I did not just stop there, I have continued to search out more and more and the secret has been in applying, which I am trying to do everyday, things like working on a budget, tracking expenses, understanding my cash flow, using my skills to make an extra buck etc and also more so seeing others transformed by what we have taught from what we have learned and applied, Benjamin Tumukunde a friend of mine has a very good testimony of how things have changed in his life. I recommend that book "MAKE SENSE OF YOUR MONEY" it can be found in book shops within Uganda

Passion is the Fuel for Purpose, It is needed, the Love to Do and the Love to Will

A GOOD READ for everyone, If you have an idea, it can become your business, Get the skills, be patient and keep growing, After reading the story of these two brothers, I guess it defies the odds that nothing is impossible, even family members can do business together, just have a vision, purpose and passion for what you do... It is the time for young people to RISE.. With God all things are possible.

6 Reasons People Stay in Debt by Dave Ramsey

The worst thing that can happen to any man or woman is the DISEASE called DEBT, it is a form of financial slavery that many Banks that loan money never want to educate their subscribers about. The bible teaches that a borrower will be a slave to the lender.

Having read an article from Dave Ramsey, I agreed with many of the reasons listed, they could be more that you yourself knows but here is a list:-

1. They Want to Keep up appearances

2. They are unwilling to sacrifice

3. They fear change

4. They are addicted to stuff

5. They don't know how

Compound Interest

The first time I read about compound interest was from the book "MAKE SENSE OF YOUR MONEY" by Mr James Abola. Having understood the principle, I said let me teach my wife what I have found out but more so I gave her the book to read so that she could chew the food and get satisfied on her own. Today as I checked our account, I indeed saw a big change and I must say - knowledge can only be really valuable when put to practice. 

This is what compound interest is from Wikipedia -

Compound interest is interest added to the principal of a deposit or loan so that the added interest also earns interest from then on. This addition of interest to the principal is called compounding. A bank account, for example, may have its interest compounded every year: in this case, an account with $1000 initial principal and 20% interest per year would have a balance of $1200 at the end of the first year, $1440 at the end of the second year, $1728 at the end of the third year, and so on.

Ben Carson says "No knowledge is wasted knowledge" - God bless you as you keep putting to practice these timeless principles - when you read Mathew 25 about the parable of talents, you can see the difference between a person who puts to practice what he has been taught. My wife and I might not be so far in life but we keep growing little by little and one day we shall testify even more because the steps of a righteous man is ordered by the LORD.

Health Is So Important To Work, Service, Business & Financial Management

One person may ask, How does health play apart in my financial management. I would only say one thing ask the people who are sick how much they are spending or how much is being spent on them. If you went to Mulago [Our Referral Hospital] or any hospital in the world, you will agree that one of the greatest asset a human being has is HEALTH. The bible teaches that a merry heart is like medicine to the soul [Proverbs 17:22] and I agree that is very true.

It has been written in the scriptures that we need not to worry [Mathew 6:33] instead seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, this is because WORRY can not add anything to your life. One of the things that make us get sick, starts with the state of worry which then brings in stress and we know it's one of the number factors that kills people. Heard of people who get heart attack or high blood pressure, they will tell you they were stressed [worried about this and that].

I write to encourage us to watch what we eat [personally I kicked soda out of my life], I prefer to take juice or water and for the past 1 year now, I have greatly benefited. Find time to exercise and sweat out toxics [every saturday I go to the basket ball court  and I play basket ball which has greatly helped me]. 

The healthier you are, the better you will be to enable you learn and apply the many things you learn. When you are healthy you are able to work. The greatest wealth might actually be your health.

Stay healthy in you mind, soul and body, then you will see the benefits even in your finances.

This scripture puts it perfectly for me: 3 John 1:2 "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well."

Some Tips From A Friend "Edward Hire"

1. Pay God first and then pay yourself second. For all income

you earn, take 10% tithe and 10% for saving. Most people

tend to find reasons why they cannot afford to save. Maybe

you are one of them! They often complain of small income

or expensive bills, children are demanding and all kind so

of reasons. How can God bless a storehouse that you do

not have? Deuteronomy 28:8 “The LORD will guarantee a

blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses

with grain. The LORD your God will bless you in the land

he is giving

you.” – Edward Hire Yosia

2. Ten to 50 percent of your salary should go to work for you. Money in the purse is only gratifying to the soul; so put your money into you savings plan and less in your purse for immediate and easy spending.

3. Learn to live on less than your purse(i.e what you eventually have left after servicing your savings plan) and learn to live on less than your salary. The Indians are good at this. They are frugal.

4. Don’t be in a hurry to invest. Take a great caution so that you do not lose your money.

5. Analyze your priorities. Discipline yourself to save and invest, and there

by later attain increasing wealth. Money can not quench desires; only.

6. Save for uncertain times such as old age or unexpected circumstances(1 Timothy 5:8 “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever”.;6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”).

7. Accumulate wealth first in small amounts, then larger amounts as you learn and become more cable.Your goals should be simple and definite.

8. Be focused, and concentrate your efforts to acquire more information, new friends, strategies for better service, and cheaper and better products.

9. Beware of lending out money. You are not a bank, so do not bring others burdens on yourself.

Tainted Wealth Has No Lasting Value

Proverbs 10:2 NLT [2 Tainted wealth has no lasting value,

but right living can save your life.]

It is always a good thing to sit back and ask yourself, am I making this money the right way, I am being faithful with myself, family and workplace in regards.

There is a high quest to make money and this can tempt anyone to do the most outrageous things which are against the word of God. And because of that we think we are doing the right thing forgetting that what we do now shall also affect our children.

If you are to make money, even when it comes to profits let it not be blown out of proportion, it is good to make profits but the right way - Proverbs 16:11 NLT [The LORD demands accurate scales and balances; he sets the standards for fairness.].

Remember the LOVE FOR MONEY [Not Money] is the root of all evil. This comes as a reminder that money can be made the right way and you can always be happy without any form of guilt. At the end of the day as the scripture says RIGHT LIVING CAN SAVE YOU..

How You Use Your Resources At Home, Will Determine How Much You Save

Sometime back while looking at our home expenditure with My wife, we wondered if the BILLS could be an issue at home especially WATER & POWER. But while I was still at my moms, there is a principle I learnt of switching off lights while not in use and indeed it makes sense, why should lights be on when not in use, I know anyone would want to have the whole house lit up and looking like some CELEBs house but it really doesn't add up to anything.

The vital principal I learnt from my mom came into play when I got married , I told my wife about saving on power by switching off lights and this played into our favor. We also don't keep the taps running anyhow Recently I was asked by someone how much I spend on power BILLS and I told them 20k [20,000 UGX] a month and the same also for water, they couldn't believe but that's the truth. When it comes to using the Micro wave, we used it when we really need too, otherwise Gas or the charcoal stove can warm the food or cook it at that. When it comes to ironing it is done once a week and clothes are ironed for the week sometimes of-course due to change, it could be just twice.

Save on money by looking through your routines at home, you could find yourself doing much more... my wife and I also found cooking a lot of food and not finishing it wasn't good, especially us being two for now, we just cook what is enough to avoid throwing food which is money thrown and wasted. It is not all perfect but as you keep being disciplined you will see the reward.

Let John 6:12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted."

Dr Myles Munroe once said that SUCCESS is predictable - it is not luck, Failure is also predictable.

The Cry Of The Youth - Part 1

All over the world, the youth are the most dynamic facet of every society, economy or government. However, the most dynamic force of the world is the most marginalized or the most unfortunate.

Why is this so? Why are the youth struggling more than ever? Is it because parents have not trained them enough? Is it because parents have not imparted vision and purpose in their lives. Is it because parents have not harnessed their potential? There could be a thousand or more reasons.

The Youth Have A Cry

The Youth have a cry, a cry that has fueled so many things we term as violence, so many things we term as useless. One thing am sure of, is that it is not just the governments problem, it is all our problem, this is because we are all parents, whether in a government position or not, we are all a part of a community who see these children grow, we see them go astray and we say nothing, we see them give up and get frustrated, we see them live for nothing and we tell them they are useless. We are either in the bracket of younger youth, adults or the elderly but we are all to play a part even the youth themselves.

Different Perspective

I choose to look at change in a different perspective.

1. The youth need a new voice, a voice of encouragement, a voice of hope, a voice of belief, a voice attaching value and importance to them. They need a voice telling them that they are not just the future but the present future and that they need to be prepared now more than ever for every opportunity that might present itself because when preparation meets opportunity success is a must. 
2. The Youth need to be told that they are the greatest resource a nation can have. They need to be told that their life is not a mistake, that a resource cannot be looked at as a burden but instead they are an opportunity in itself to the nation. An opportunity that will flow like a river of life.
3. The Youth need to be told that they need a mindset change, that they need to view themselves from the point of am created by God for a purpose, from a point of value, they need to view themselves from the point of hope, that they need to view themselves as the warriors who cannot be beaten down by temporary challenges of this life because indeed as it has always been said there is no permanent situation and that tough times don't last but tough, skilled, empowered, learned and humble people do.
4. The Youth need to be told they can make it and that nothing is too hard to achieve, they need to be reminded of great young men, who rallied with their vision and did not look back but made it to the end. They need to be told that nothing is impossible, just like Nelson Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it is done".
5. The youth need a new found form of inspiration, Inspiration from God, Inspiration from those who will choose to love them and not castigate them but still discipline in love. They still need the love of a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, an aunt, an uncle, the neighbor, the police, the doctors, the care takers, the government officials, the taxi drivers, and every other person who comes a across their path.
6. The youth need the elders even though they aren't closely related to embrace them as their own. Someone might not be directly related but you can be a father, a role model, a destiny carrier. The embrace needed is an embrace of unending love, peace, joy. An embrace telling them we need you and can't do without you. An embrace telling them, "We are better off working on the same team and not competing", An embrace telling them, "I am here to teach you, you can have confidence and learn from me". An embrace telling them,"I will not manipulate you, I will not use you but love you". And an embrace telling them, "I will empower you to empower others".
7. The youth need to be Impacted, Empowered and Transformed, this could happen by instilling the culture of reading, teaching and most importantly those guiding them to live and lead by example.

Activating the power of God in your life (the 5 P's)

"...my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." 1 Cor 2:4-5 (ESV) -- Our faith needs to be founded on the evidence of the power of God! WE each need an experience uniques to us that is able to spur us on!

1. Purpose: What is my place and position in God's grand plan. How do I see myself in God? Power has purpose -- (a) You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.... and you will be my witnesses (Acts 1:8); (b) You shall remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you power to make wealth...that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. (Deut 8:18); and (c) Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,.... to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Eph 3:20).... we see in all this manifestation of power, that there is always purpose!

2. Perception: It is amazing that; our generation knows so much about God, but does not know God so much... "You are in error because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of God" (Matt 22:29) -- it is evident in our casual approach to the throne of grace and extremely familiar approach to God almighty!-- "For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." (Rom 1:20) -- What is your perception of God?... Do you recognise His majesty and splendour? When was the last time you really bowed in reverence to God?

3. Priority: We have to inevitably remain in Jesus Christ as a matter of priority; without whom we can do nothing! "Seek ye FIRST.... the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.... (Matt 6:33)--- and indeed, unless our righteousness exceeds that of the pharisees; we will by no means see the Kingdom of God! God must take first place in all you pursue... His will needs no competition!

4. Purity: God is holy! Holiness is His highest attribute. Our love for Him should therefore drive us to be holy as He is holy! "Blessed are the pure in spirit, for they will see God" (Matt 5:8)-- this seeing God is not in the life to come... but experiencing the manifestation of His power in this life! "So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." (2 Tim 2:22)

5. Patience: Always remember that it is God who is in control. We all receive delegated control! We work neither on our terms nor in our own time -- it is all about God! "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." (Heb 10:36)

Therefore --"He that believeth in me, the works I do, shall he do also; and greater works that these shall he do; because I go to my father.... and whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the father may be glorified in the son. If you ask anything in my name; I will do it" (John 14:12-14) -- wrap it all in consistent, sincere prayer, motivated by love. Prayer is for lovers only (P-FLO) --- and always remember "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 --- like Reinhard Bonkhe says "FAITH is the power switch!"

Note: Prayer, purity and patience is the pathway to power and revival.

There is skill to make heavenly garments, to make heavenly homes, businesses and to raise children in the way of God, She's not satisfied, there is more to fulfill.

Every woman has love

The love of God that draws Children, Men, Leaders to them and such Love heals nations and heals broken hearts.

The Eyes of every woman are the eyes of God

To My Fellow Men And Leaders Of This World "Prayer Makes Us"

From my heart to you all

I have strongly come to believe that what will what strongly unite men is this one thing called VISION and PURPOSE, when a man is visionary every other man can have some one else to look up too and hence himself help build other men.

To get such a man or men is not easy because such men are MADE, CRAFTED & MOLDED through PRAYER, they are men who seek out the presence of God and dwell there in, If you are to move a fellow man, this is how Hudson Taylor put it, "It is possible to move men, through God, by PRAYER ALONE".

This validates the statement that A MAN OUGHT TO PRAY and not lose heart. If a fellow man is praying and his fellow men are praying they become an un-stoppable force, George Giddle says Give me one man bought by PRAYER and not by A SWORD.

I am reminded especially about how praying connects and how God releases another man to go rescue the other by doing the instructions given by God. This is a classic story between Paul and Ananias, Paul had the experience of damascus and he was blind, he prayed and fasted 3 days and while he was praying, Ananias was also praying and God spoke to him and told him to go and pray for Paul and the scales fell off his eyes, Men who pray can be destiny carries, Men who pray can be deliverers of fellow men and nations, men who pray hear directly from God and do exactly as he said. To me nothing more can humble a man than prayer and fasting before God as he crucifies his dominant self that would want to do things in his own way, another humbling thing is when a fellow man who prays and heard from God brings forth a message of deliverance.

As men we shouldn't neglect one another, we should pray for one another, we should value what we can learn from one another and we should stand with one another, we should love and encourage one another and we should look at ourselves beyond the eyes of our weaknesses but strengthen our weaknesses and strengthen our strengths.

[I loved how we ended our fellowship as men the last time we met,] - from a fellowship experience. the prayers we ended with sealed and protected our purpose for one another and for the whole earth, MEN who pray and practice it will see evident results, Men who pray and dwell in his presence will grow in the right environment and be prepared for anything, they will never fear a thing because God has built a hedge around them just like for JOB.

Lastly Men can only be met and won in the place of prayer, never get into a physical battle with a man, the one who wins loses and the one who loses wins, we as men are on the same team and competition shouldn't be among-st us but we should win together and rejoice in each other's victories because it only makes us all better, My success is your success, my promotion is your promotion, my joy is your joy, my pain is your pain, my loss is your loss, Let the batter by won in prayer and let the victory both be ours and such a thing annoys the devil more than anything, Instead of us being scattered, VISION, PURPOSE and PRAYER will unite us.

There is no better VOICE to hear than the VOICE of God in TIMES WHERE there are so many other voices

Can you hear his voice, Each time you read his word. Can you hear his voice, Each time you share and speak with someone. Can you hear his voice, Each time you walk down the street and walk into the market. Can you hear his voice, Each time you try to give up and throw in the towel. Can you hear his voice, Each time you think it's over. 

Can you hear his voice

This is the Impact the voice of God can create 

If we can only be sensitive to his voice at any time, at all times, whenever wherever

God is always speaking

The voice of the Lord ----- echoes above the sea

The God of glory thunders

The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.

The voice of the Lord is powerful

The voice of the Lord is majestic.

The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars

The Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon

He makes Lebanon's mountains skip like a calf

He makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox

The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake

The Lord shakes the wilderness of kadesh

The voice of the Lord twist mighty oaks

and strips the forests bare

In his temple everyone shouts "Glory"

I can only conclude like this

Understanding, Knowledge & Wisdom

UNDERSTANDING, KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM

These three things above could be the greatest weapons to financial freedom. 

There are many times in life when impatience gets the best of us, instead of learning and acquiring knowledge which we should apply, we are after the fish, the bananas and the money itself.

Money that comes to the hands that don't know how to manage will most definitely vanish in thin air.

The Chinese proverb says that instead of giving fish, teach someone how to fish.

knowledge acquisition to people seem so far fetched, but without knowledge and wisdom to apply it and understanding to know exactly how things work and why certain things should be done, we remain in the dark.

Seek as much knowledge as you canGain as much understanding as you canApply as much wisdom as you can

Don't rush for the Gold, rush for the knowledge to manage the gold, this will help you break free of any loop holes that make you run made.

The Bible in Proverbs 8 says

10 Choose my instruction rather than silver,

and knowledge rather than pure gold.

11 For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies.

Nothing you desire can compare with it.

This tells you that "it is not the money that is important, it is the instruction, knowledge and wisdom that will make you sustain everything you get."

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty."

One of the things you never ever want to go through is living a life of regret, and most times people caught in such frenzies are those who WISHED they hadn't done this or that, of course sometimes it is inevitable but we can avoid this.

When it comes to managing finances, I have come to realize we put ourselves in a fix even without knowing but when your eyes open, it is worth changing.

I have often told people that most times the short distance you could have walked, could save you lots of money but some go with the excuse of am tired or aah! it's only one thousand but we have at least fallen on the quote that says "Beware of little expenses, a small leak will sink a great ship" - Benjamin Franklin. If you ever changed certain things you do, then you can make progress.

Here are some of the reasons people end up using boda bodas (motorcycle taxi):

1. Waking up late, so they end up paying to be rushed which can also put your life at a risk. and impact of your pocket, instead of using 1000 ugx, you end up using 4000 ugx
2. They are lazy
3. They think it is the quickest means.
4. For me I just love boda bodas, they sort me out

I changed my perception on when exactly to use these guys but I have indeed realized there is a price for being late, so when we end up having to pay the cost of being late that's why we end up spending on boda bodas more often. When i have been late, I have even cursed a bit, but when i do things a little bit earlier i found my day flowing better and saving on lots of things even that little extra money i would have paid.

You can change your attitude and say when i walk, it will contribute to my health through exercise. Attitude is key to changing as well.

The WAY You lead your life can determine how much you can save, not only money but even much more. 

To avoid living in regrets, or the "I WISH state" 

Manage your lifestyle, it should be great joy changing the way you live.
